Rosemarie Onwukwe is a writer and voice artist (Voices by Rosemarie). She co-authored a book with her mother titled: “On My Journey Home,” by Lillian Durodola with Rosemarie Onwukwe.
She is the author of Images of America: Bloomingdale published by Arcadia Books, and other freelance articles online and in print.
She is a retired elementary school teacher and worked for over a decade with second language learners. She also reads and records for the Blind and Dyslexic: Audio Reader for Kansas University.
Rosemarie fulfilled one of her lifelong dreams when she took a job teaching English at an international school in Mexico City, Mexico and began learning basic Spanish.
In addition to her love for children, Rosemarie loves travelling, meeting people, and her new hobby of nurturing plans. Rosemarie is an active member of the Triple Crown Toastmaster Club 176, Area 46, Division D District 36.
Rosemarie’s 2nd book; was co authored along with her mother Lillian Durodola. This book is an autobiography of Lillian’s life during the Great Depression till 2020.

Rosemarie has a rich sultury voice that ranges from young to middle age. Her accent is a mix of North Eastern USA with elements of multi culturalism and African American. Being half Nigerian gives her the option of changing accents to a voice that can loosely be described as African. She can adopt a Nigerian accent as well as Pidgin English, which is the universal recognized language in West Africa.
Her soothing voice, friendly and calm tone, and measured speech attracts attention to the general public. She prides herself in being able to calm the most irate infant and child as the “Child Whisperer”; over a decade of teaching in elementary school has given her this title.
Rosemarie, however, is more than one dimensional, as her voice attracts adults as well. Her clear and concise voice is fit for documentaries, corporate training, narrations for books (children and adult literature), commercials, infomercials, animation/video game characters, promotional videos, E-learning, and countless more.
